UPDATE: Man Struck and Killed by Train, Waynesboro PD Investigating
UPDATE: The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has positively identified the individual who died in the May 23 train accident. Joseph Yuhasz, 20 years old, of Waynesboro was pronounced dead at the scene.
Mr. Yuhasz graduated Waynesboro High School in 2011. In May, he completed his second year at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.
The death investigation continues.

The Waynesboro Police Department is currently investigating an incident in which an individual was struck and killed by a train. On May 23, 2013 at approximately 12:20 a.m., officers responded to the area to the Buckingham Branch Railroad off Hopeman Parkway that is between Hopeman Station subdivision and Hopeman West Apartments. There they found a deceased male, possibly in his late teens to early twenties that had been struck by a westbound CSX train.
No foul play is suspected. The body will be sent to the Virginia Department of Health's Medical Examiner Office for an autopsy and identification.
The investigation into this tragic incident is ongoing.
