RWSA Holds Open House to Display Water Pump Station Design
The Rivanna Water and Sewer Authority is laying out some new plans. It held an open house Wednesday to show off its design plans for a new water pump station.
The new design includes a hard rock tunnel that will transfer waste from the current station to a new pump station at Moores Creek.
"The purpose of this project is to relocate the existing Rivanna Pump Station from the neighborhood near the park to the existing Moores Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant and to provide expanded capacity," said Janice Carroll, RWSA consultant.
There will be two phases of the project. Phase one is expected to begin in early 2014.
