On Tuesday, May 21, 2013 the Waynesboro Police Department and the WASP Regional Task Force arrested a Waynesboro couple in a drug sting at a house in the 200 block of Hunter Street. Using a search warrant, the Department's SWAT team raided the residence and located Gregory Scott Royer, 41, with methamphetamine, marijuana, firearms and drug paraphernalia. Royer was charged with two felonies, possession of methamphetamine and possession of a firearm while in possession of a controlled substance. He is being held without bond at Middle River Regional Jail.
Also charged was Kimberly Dawn Johnson, 41, with one felony count of possession of methamphetamine. She is being held at MRRJ on a $3000 bond.
Additional charges against the couple may be possible.
