Posted: Updated:

A Verona man facing life in prison will spend eight years instead for racketeering and other crimes.

Shaun Adam Sams, 24, pleaded guilty Tuesday in Augusta County Circuit Court to racketeering, breaking and entering and possession of methamphetamines with intent to distribute.

Sams admitted to playing a part in an ongoing criminal enterprise that included drug trade and counterfeiting.

Brittany Nesslerodt, 21, and Curtis Allen Wimer, 24, face similar charges. They are scheduled to appear in court this July.
