UVa Men's Tennis Team Beats Tennessee; Advances to NCAA Tournament Semis

The UVa men's tennis team has advanced to the NCAA Tournament semifinals for the fourth straight year and sixth time in seven years beating Tennessee 4-0 in the NCAA Tournament quarterfinals in Champaign, Illinois.

Virginia won the doubles point.  At singles, Jarmere Jenkins won his match at #1 singles 4-6, 6-4, 3-0 ret.   Alex Domijan won  his match at #2 singles 6-2, 6-3 and Mac Styslinger won his match at #5 singles 6-4, 6-4.

"It was another good match today and I congratulate Tennessee on playing a good match too," said head coach Brian Boland. "It was back and forth there for a while. They made it tough on us early in the singles, but the guys stayed composed and kept working and things eventually shifted our way."

Virginia now has a record of 28-0.  The 'Hoos will play Georgia on Monday in the semifinals at 2pm EST.
