Jefferson Area Children's Health Improvement Program (CHIP) and Club Yancey have more funding to work with.

The Future Fund announced its winners of a total of $55,000 in education grants.

It's part of the "Live Local. Give Local." campaign. CHIP will get $40,000. Club Yancey gets $15,000 to extend the school's day program.

"Both of those grants are going to benefit two very deserving organizations within our local Charlottesville and Albemarle community," said John Wells, Future Fund grants committee co-chair.

The Future Fund is part of the Charlottesville Area Community Foundation.

It has awarded more than $225,000 to nonprofits in the area, from more than 400 young professionals.
