Charlottesville parks are offering a free and refreshing place to cool down once the temperatures heat up.
The city opened two of its three spray grounds this weekend for the summer season.
The spray grounds are set up at Belmont Park, Forest Hills Park, and Greenleaf Park. They are open daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. through October 12.
Currently, the spray ground at Greenleaf Park is offline due to a mechanical failure. The city hopes to have repairs done by Tuesday.
