Fluvanna residents can expect to see some repairs made to roads over the next six years.
Fluvanna County supervisors are focusing on economic development in Zion Crossroads at their meeting this week.
The Virginia Department of Transportation will present its six-year plan during a joint public hearing with the board. The plan details which roads are due for repairs over the next six years.
Supervisor Joe Chesser says VDOT has dropped several projects because of its tight budget, but he hopes the roads leading to Zion Crossroads will get priority.
"These in the future will be very important to the Zion Crossroad area, which we hope in the near future, maybe the next five years will be much more abundant with economic development than it is today for Fluvanna," Chesser said.
The board of supervisors will also announce members of the Zion Crossroads steering committee which will create a vision for economic development in that part of the county.
The meeting starts at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Fluvanna courts building.
