The #7 Virginia baseball team beat Duke 17-8 in Game Two of their three-game series Saturday at Davenport Field.
The Cavaliers (41-8, 19-7) had 22 hits, and scored 13-runs combined in the 3rd and 4th innings to blow the game open.
The hits are the most for any ACC team in conference play this season, and the 17 runs are the most scored by UVA since 2001.
Sophomore Mike Papi went 4-for-4 with four RBI and three runs scored from the leadoff position.
Reed Gragnani went 3-for-5, while driving in three runs and scoring twice.
Virginia will go for the series sweep Sunday at one o'clock at Davenport Field.
