mural at Buford Middle School, dedicated by The Charlottesville Mural Project
Buford Middle School is getting a new look, with the help of some student-artists. Arts group "The Charlottesville Mural Project" dedicated a 2,200-square-foot mural to the school on Friday.
The geometric garden design was created by art students from Buford Middle School and the University of Virginia.
"That students got involved doing it, that was really fun. I got to do it with my friends. I really like the way it was done, it wasn't too complex and it wasn't too super abstract and crazy," said Delu Stricker, eighth-grade student.
More than 25 gallons of paint were used during the month-long painting project.
The mural will serve as the cornerstone of the arts and natural sciences at Buford.
