Fluvanna Man Pleads Guilty to Setting Own House on Fire

A Fluvanna man has pleaded guilty to setting his own house on fire. Jeffery Wayne Rosson of Troy pleaded guilty to felony arson on Thursday.

No one was injured during the August 2012 fire at his home, but there was property damage.

He will be sentenced in July.

After an intensive investigation by the Fluvanna County Sheriff's Office, Jeffery Wayne Rosson, age 47 of Troy, VA, pleaded guilty to a felony charge of Arson in Fluvanna Circuit Court on May 9, 2013.  The charge stems from an August 07, 2012 fire at a home owned by Rosson.  No one was injured during the fire, but there was property damage.  Rosson will be sentenced on July 19, 2013 in Fluvanna Circuit Court.
