One-Lane Closures on Rt. 29 for Hazard Tree Removal

HAZARD TREES WILL BE REMOVED FROM RT. 29 ON WEDNESDAY

Single lane closures will affect traffic north of South Fork Rivanna River

CULPEPER – Motorists traveling on Route 29 (Seminole Trail) north of the South Fork Rivanna River will encounter single-lane closures on Wednesday while a contractor for the Virginia Department of Transportation removes hazard trees in the median.

The left lane of Route 29 will be closed both northbound and southbound between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. from Route 643 (Polo Grounds Road) to Route 1520 (Hollymead Drive). The work may be postponed if the weather is bad.

The site has real-time road conditions and weather forecasts as well as live traffic camera images for many major highways, including Route 29, Interstate 64, I-66 and Route 250 in Central Virginia.

Motorists can call 511 from any telephone in Virginia for road and traffic conditions on all major highways in the state. Call 800-367-ROAD (367-7623) 24 hours a day to report highway-related problems or request information about Virginia's highways.
