Charlottesville Council Approves Food Truck Ordinance

Posted: Updated:

Charlottesville City Council approved the ordinance that articulates rules for mobile food trucks to do business in the city.

The zoning ordinance keeps mobile units off residential and private properties unless a special use permit is acquired. Food trucks must also keep a distance of 30 feet from established restaurants and seating will not be allowed.

Each business must be in compliance with health department codes at all times.
