Moon bounces were just one of the fun activities for children at the event.
Carysbrook Elementary in Fluvanna County is celebrating the end of its first school year.
On Saturday students, teachers, and families came out to Carysbrook for a day of moon bouncing, mini-golf, basketball and horseback riding.
The event was planned by the Parents Active at Carysbrook- or PAC - team.
"It is basically a year-end bash for everything we've started in August up until May just to celebrate the kids that are here and also celebrate the community," Don Stribling, principal of Carysbrook, said.
Cadets from the Fork Union Military Academy's Interact Club, a community service group sponsored by the Fluvanna Rotary Club, volunteered to run the carnival games.
