Albemarle High School students are performing a musical that has not been seen in the area in years. Thursday night was the opening night of "Hello Dolly."
More than 150 students worked on the show that focuses on adventures and looking for love. Fay Cunningham, the drama teacher working with the students, says the community is very supportive.
"I'm really, really proud that our community of Charlottesville and the surrounding areas just really come and see our shows and embrace these high school students," Cunningham said.
Students have worked on the show since February.
Nearly 500 people came to watch the musical Thursday night. It will run all weekend with a special dinner theater showing on Saturday.
