Charlottesville Library Awards “Peepapalooza” Winners

The Gordon Avenue Library in Charlottesville is giving awards Tuesday evening to the winners of its third annual Peepapalooza contest.   

Participants had to use Peeps - marshmallow treats shaped like bunnies and baby chicks - to create a specific scene. 

Librarian Glynis Welte judged this year's 26 entries. 

"This is the ending of a month-long event where we ask people to make a diorama using the candy Peeps to represent a favorite book," Welte said. 

Each participant will receive a gold Peep statue, a button and a certificate.
