Charlottesville Library Awards “Peepapalooza” Winners

Posted: Updated:

The Gordon Avenue Library in Charlottesville is giving awards Tuesday evening to the winners of its third annual Peepapalooza contest.

Participants had to use Peeps - marshmallow treats shaped like bunnies and baby chicks - to create a specific scene.

Librarian Glynis Welte judged this year's 26 entries.

"This is the ending of a month-long event where we ask people to make a diorama using the candy Peeps to represent a favorite book," Welte said.

Each participant will receive a gold Peep statue, a button and a certificate.
