Job Opportunities to Increase During Summer in Cville
Virginia's Staffing Choice building
The latest employment numbers have been dismal, but there is good news for people looking for work during the summer.
Virginia's Staffing Choice says people in Charlottesville will have a better chance of finding jobs between May and August. That's partly because outdoor work is booming during those months, and many University of Virginia students typically leave Charlottesville and go home for the summer.
"With turnovers of apartments, the students leaving, there's a small window that a lot of the property management companies are going to need turnover specialists, painters, people with backgrounds in the construction trade and remodeling," said Matthew Frazer, Virginia's Staffing Choice owner.
The company says it is already seeing a significant amount of clients looking for jobs - especially in the construction and landscaping fields.
