Fire at Culpeper Plant Causes $750,000 in Damage

CULPEPER, Va. (AP) - A plant fire in Culpeper caused an estimated $750,000 in damage.

Bruce Stark with the Culpeper County Volunteer Fire Department says a sprinkler system helped firefighters extinguish the blaze at the Rochester Corp. plant.

Stark tells the Culpeper Star-Exponent that the electrical fire occurred Wednesday afternoon in a fiber optics room at the plant.
