Augusta Supervisors Vote for Tax Increase

Posted: Updated:

Property taxes are going up in Augusta County.

It was a packed house Wednesday night at the Augusta County Board of Supervisors meeting. More than 30 people spoke, most seeking support for raising the tax rate to help schools.

Supervisors voted in favor of a 3-cent tax increase. That means annual taxes will go up $60 on a $200,000 home.
