Charlottesville to Provide Free Collection of Bagged Leaves

Spring Leaf Collection for City Residents
Week of April 29, 2013

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA -The City of Charlottesville will provide a one-time collection of bagged leaves for City residents. This free service will be provided by Charlottesville Public Service during the week of April 29th.

As each City street will be visited just once during that week, bagged leaves must be left at the curb no later than 7:00 am on Monday, April 29th to ensure collection.

All leaves must be bagged, and all bags must contain leaves only. The City will not collect sticks or other yard debris, or any loose leaves. The City will not provide leaf bags for this one-time collection.

Following this special leaf collection, leaves will be treated as dry trash per City code, and should be placed in a container or bag with the appropriate trash sticker.
