Charlottesville Sports Club Raises Money for "One Fund Boston"

People in Charlottesville ran to raise money for those affected by the Boston bombings.  

The Charlottesville Sports and Social Club organized the 5K run that raised more than $600 to be donated to "One Fund Boston."      

Many of the runners showed up wearing Boston t-shirts to show support.     

One runner tells said it was special to see the community she lives in now supporting her hometown of Boston.  

"It was really supportive everyone was great," Abby Stewart said. "I did not finish dead last I came through a bunch of people so that was exciting but it was really positive and just felt really great."   

After the race, the runners headed over to McGrady's Irish Pub. The pub donated 10 percent of all of its proceeds until 1 p.m. to the cause.
