Augusta County has a new tool that teaches some life-saving common sense.  The Augusta Sheriff's Office has purchased a variable-message sign for the Valley Community Services Board.

A $19,000 state intervention grant made it possible. The solar-powered sign will display anti-drunk-driving messages, and warn drivers of special driving under the influence (DUI) patrols.

The mobile device can be parked near special events and at schools as prom and graduation seasons approach.
