Charlottesville students are celebrating the environment through artwork.

Thursday night, the winners of the annual Eco Fair artwork contest were announced.

Students grades K-12 were asked to submit artwork that portrays taking care of the earth. One winner from each grade level got a $50 prize.

"I'm probably going to buy something that's pretty expensive or I'm going to keep on saving to buy something really expensive...like 80 bucks," said one winner, Rowan Vossmiller.

There were over $1,000 entries this year, which will be the 12th annual Eco Fair.
