It's a big ACC baseball series between two teams ranked in the top-10 in the nation.

Seventh-ranked Virginia plays host to 5th ranked Florida State this weekend.

Game One is scheduled for Friday night at six o'clock, weather permitting.

Sunday's Game Three is sold out.

The Cavaliers are coming off a come-from-behind win Wednesday night over Old Dominion, winning 10-9 in 10 innings.

Virginia and Florida State are very similar.

Both have records of 13-5 in the ACC, both feature a bunch of underclassmen in the starting lineup, and both have strong pitching staffs.

Virginia's staff ranks third in the ACC, while Florida State's is second.

Head coach Brian O'Connor says, "They pitch really, really well. Play really good defense. Got a good offensive ball club. It looks like they're playing really hot right now. Certainly, this weekend is going to be two very, very good teams matched up. It's going to be a lot of fun. It's certainly something we're looking forward to, and I'm sure Florida State is."

Senior Jared King adds, "They're extremely talented. They're playing a high brand of baseball. It's going to take everybody this weekend, so I know we'll be ready."
