Posted: Updated:

The Virginia Baseball team fell to 31-6, 13-5 ACC as they lost 3-2 Sunday at Russ Chandler Stadium in Atlanta. The game was called early due to rain and poor field conditions in the six inning.

The Cavalier's starting pitcher Nick Howard worked for 3 1/3 innings. The sophomore allowed 3 runs, 5 hits and two walks while striking out four.

Jared King pounded out his first home run of the season in the 6th inning just before the game was called to cut the deficit to 3-2.

UVA returns to Charlottesville for a four game home stand. They'll face Old Dominion Wednesday before taking on #6 Florida State in a three-game ACC series Friday through Sunday.
