UVA Men's and Women's Tennis Shut Down Georgia Tech

The UVA men's and women's tennis teams each earned wins against Georgia Tech on Saturday.

The #1 Virginia men's tennis team knocked out Georgia Tech 6-1 on Senior Day at the Snyder Tennis Center.

The two final matches came down to two seniors battling it out with the Yellow Jackets.

Wahoos senior Julen Uriguen posted a 7-5, 6-2 victory over Colin Edwards.

Meanwhile, second ranked senior Jarmere Jenkins topped Juan Melian 6-4, 6-4 at court two to close out the UVA victory.

The Cavaliers improve to 19-0, 8-0 ACC and extended their ACC win streak to 101.

The 'Hoos wrap up the regular season in the Sunshine State, as the Cavaliers visit Florida State on Friday and Miami on Sunday.

The #17 Virginia Women's tennis team took home its sixth straight win, as UVA topped #19 Georgia Tech 4-3 Saturday at the Ken Byers Tennis Complex in Atlanta.

Virginia Freshman Julia Elbaba edged Elizabeth Kilborn to ice the 4-3 win in a three set decision.

The 'Hoos improve to 14-7, 7-1 ACC and concludes their two-day road trip at #14 Clemson Sunday at 12 pm.
