Dumler Willingly Changes Terms of Jail Time

Posted: Updated:

The Albemarle County supervisor who pleaded guilty to a sex crime is changing the terms of his jail time.

Court records show Chris Dumler will report to jail Friday April 12 and be held until April 21. The change was his decision, according to a court clerk.

Dumler had been serving his jail sentence only on the weekends until now, and he plans resume his regular weekend stay after April 21.

Dumler is serving a 30-day jail sentence following a sexual battery guilty plea in January.

NBC29 also learned that Dumler attempted to get his jail reporting time moved up by two hours after he claims an unknown person shot at his Scottsville home.
