The UVA football team was on public display for the last time this spring Saturday, as the Cavaliers held their Orange-Blue Spring Game at Scott Stadium.
Virginia still has three more closed-door practices this week.
The defense played well in the scrimmage, as the two sides combined for three safeties, and held the offense to a combined 40-yards rushing.
There were also fourteen sacks in the game, though a few may have had the benefit of the quick, 'no contact' whistle on the quarterbacks.
Senior defensive tackle Brent Urban had a standout game, recording 3 1/2 sacks and four tackles for a loss.
"Brent has to be a player for us," says head coach Mike London. "He's an older guy now, who's been in college football games. If you look at him, his physique, he's worked hard. He's definitely going to have to be one of the guys on defense we rely on."
Urban says, "To be honest I just feel a lot faster this offseason, whether that's just from squatting more and stuff, but my upper body strength and speed feels a lot better this year."
