Hundreds of people came out to McIntire Park Saturday night for a long-time Charlottesville tradition.
The park was transformed into a fairground for the Dogwood Festival, complete with rides, games and of course, a firework show.
Kids of all ages came out for the event. One brother-sister duo said they're surprised how great of a time they had.
"There's a lot of really cool ride and I'm surprised at, they're actually better than I thought they would be," Kleigh Carroll said.
"I'm having fun and eating popcorn and going on rides to have fun," Cooper Carroll said.
