University of Virginia A Capella Group Celebrates 20th Anniversary
There was plenty of talent on display Saturday night at Charlottesville's Paramount Theatre.
It was the 20th anniversary of the University of Virginia's all-male a cappella group called the Academical Village People, or AVP.
The group celebrated the anniversary the only way it knows how -- by performing a show packed with music and skits.
In honor of the 20-year mark, alumnus from the group also performed.
"The energy is really high, we're excited, this is the biggest venue that the group has ever played and it's a sold out house tonight and just as a testament to the staying power of a cappella in Charlottesville," said AVP member John Crotteau.
The group performed some classic hits by artists such as Aerosmith and Michael Jackson.
