Stuarts Draft Man Facing Murder, Firearms Charges Denied Bond

Posted: Updated:

A Staunton judge has again denied bond to the man accused in a March slaying. Steven Glenn Moore, 61, faces murder and firearms charges.

Despite pleas from his family this afternoon, the judge ordered Moore to remain in the Middle River Regional Jail.

Moore is accused of gunning down his estranged wife's boyfriend, Van Wesley Bell III, 51, during a fight at Bell's home. Police stopped Moore in his truck a few minutes later.

He'll be back in court for a preliminary hearing in May.
