#4 UVA Baseball Preps For Liberty Tuesday

Posted: Updated:

Monday, the Collegiate Baseball Poll ranked the Virginia baseball team number four.

The Cavaliers swept ACC rival Miami - and Tuesday they hit the road to face Liberty for the second time this season. The non-conference tilt is set to kick off at 6 PM.

It also marks the start of the 'Hoos away game stretch. Virginia will play 11 of their 19 games on the road in April.

The last time Liberty and the Cavaliers squared off, Virginia won 7-2 but this time Liberty has the home field advantage.

Head Coach Brian O'Connor said, "They've had the game sold out for weeks. They just built a brand new stadium down there so it'll be a great environment for us to play in."

"Liberty gave it to us pretty good last year and we still know that and we still have that game with them and we're going to try and win that series with them and you know get a good think going before Wake Forest," added Nick Howard.
