UVA Baseball Extends Winning Streak to 8; Stomps Miami 15-4

The Virginia Baseball team extended their winning streak to eight as they stomped Miami 15-4 Friday and Davenport Field.

The Cavaliers brought in nine runs in the eighth inning to blow open their 15-4 Victory.

Mike Papi went 4-for-4 with three doubles as he continued his stretch at the plate. The sophomore has hit 18 of his last 26 at bats.

Brandon Downes went 2-for-5 with a homer and five RBI.

The Virginia bull pen had six scoreless innings and allowed just 3 hits and a walk.

The Cavaliers return to action tomorrow at 1 p.m. for game two of the three game series against Miami.
