UVA Softball Splits Double Header with Boston College Friday

The Virginia Football team split a double header at the Park in Charlottesville with conference rival Boston College.

In game one, the Cavaliers (13-16, 2-6 ACC) scored three in the first inning to help ice their 3-2 victory over the Eagles.

Senior pitcher Melanie Mitchell had an exceptional night as she pitched the complete game for her 73rd career victory, making her one shy of the UVA record. 

Game two came down to a pitchers dual where with the Eagles coming away with a 3-2 victory in the 9th inning.

The series finale will take place tomorrow at the Park at noon.
