NEW YORK (AP) - A recently discovered unpublished short story by William Faulkner is among a group of his personal artifacts heading for a New York City auction.

The untitled 12-page story was among a trove of literary papers found on his family's farm in Charlottesville, Va., last year.

Another find was an original book of poetry Faulkner wrote and bound for his wife Estelle. It was published in 1984 from a photocopy.

Those and other selected items will be sold by his heirs June 11 at Sotheby's. They're expected to bring over $2 million.

Other highlights include an early, handwritten draft of his 1950 Nobel Prize acceptance speech and his Nobel medal. There's also a group of letters and postcards he wrote to his family while living in Paris in the 1920s.
