Greene County celebrated the start of the spring season with a little art Saturday.
William Monroe High School hosted the fourth annual Greene County Arts Festival. The "Art Blooms in Greene" theme featured student art displays, music and drama performances.
Students also took part in creating artwork at the event. A sidewalk art display drew a lot of attention.
"It's really fun, it's a really enjoyable time, the week leading up to it is a bit stressful and busy but it's a lot of fun once you get here and there's so many people and there's just all this excitement," said senior Kelly Crawford.
The event also had local artist displays and craft vendors. Some of the students' art pieces were awarded ribbons of excellence.
