The University of Virginia has put out admissions numbers for the upcoming freshman class.
According to the school's admissions blog, 29,005 students applied. Just over 8,800 of them were from Virginia.
The university made offers to just over 8,500 of those applicants; nearly 3,600 of them were from Virginia. The school's enrollment goal for the freshman class is 3,485 students.
The blog's administrator says UVA makes offers to more students than they plan to have enrolled to make up for those who turn the offer down.

Total number of OOS apps: 20,174
*These are numbers of completed applications.
Overall offers: 8,528
Total VA offers: 3,594 (40.7% offer rate)
Total OOS offers: 4,934 (24.46% offer rate)
Enrollment goal: 3,485 (between EA and RD)
