Defense in Staunton Murder Trial Does Not Ask for Bond

The suspect in a Staunton murder case will likely remain behind bars for at least another two months.

Steven Glenn Moore, 61, made a brief court appearance Wednesday afternoon.

His family hired Waynesboro attorney Lynn Lawson, who will represent Moore at a preliminary hearing on May 17. She did not ask the judge to set bond for Moore.

He's accused of gunning down his estranged wife's boyfriend, 51-year-old Van Wesley Bell III, during a fight at Bell's home last week.
