Man Hit by SUV on Whitehead Road

A man who tried to cross Whitehead Road in Charlottesville is recovering Wednesday afternoon after an SUV hit him.

The accident happened at about 11 a.m. near the University of Virginia Aquatic and Fitness Center.

Emergency crews rushed the victim to the UVA Medical Center, but the man does not appear to have severe injuries.

Police are still investigating who is at fault.
