Paramount Theater Hosts Trivia for a Cause

Posted: Updated: March 20, 2013 12:10 AM EDT

There was a friendly game of trivia Tuesday night at the Paramount Theater as teams from across the area joined in to raise money for charity.

Wordplay was the game and among the teams was a group from NBC29, and another from Monticello High School.

They say all is fair in love and war, but that's until you bring a ringer. Monticello High School's team included Jeopardy contestant Michael Farabaugh.

"I think the good thing about trivia - it feels great when you know the answer and it feels annoying, it feels lousy when you don't, so we'll have to wait and see but I'd like to think some of that Jeopardy training will help me tonight. But if it doesn't I will be just as happy to cheer on whoever wins this thing."

McGrady's Pub won, second place was the team from NBC29 and T&N Printing came in third. The ringers from Monticello High School weren't in the top five.

The proceeds are going to Literacy Volunteers of Charlottesville/Albemarle.
