Overnight Tractor-Trailer Accident on Rt. 29

Slick road conditions caused an overnight accident in Nelson County.

Virginia State Police say a tractor-trailer heading northbound on Route 29 near Wilson Hill Road lost control and slid off the roadway, taking out a guard rail.

There were no reports of any injuries.

Route 29 near Wilson Hill Road will be closed for a short time around midnight on Monday while crews work to remove the tractor-trailer. State police say the northbound lanes of Route 29 will be diverted onto the southbound lanes during that time.

Crews were not able to move the tractor trailer sooner due to weather conditions.
