The #12 Virginia baseball team improves to 17-2 overall and 4-2 in the ACC as 15 hits against Clemson helped them edge the Tigers 8-5 Sunday and claim the series.

Senior Jared King was a standout performer in Virginia's 8-5 win while going 3-for-3.

King had three RBI and three runs scored.

Nick Howard pitched another impressive start for the 'Hoos. The sophomore gave the Cavaliers six strong innings where he allowed two earned runs, seven hits and a walk, while striking out three.

Branden Cogswell and Nate Irving also had three hits each.

Virginia returns to action at Davenport Field this week facing Yale in a non-conference series. The Cavaliers and Bulldogs start their two-game series at 5 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday.
