JMU Women's Basketball Eliminated In CAA Semifinals

The 2-seed James Madison women's basketball team was upset 50-34 against 3-seed Drexel in the CAA tournament semifinals Saturday.

The Dukes (22-10) shot 27.6% from the floor in the loss, and made just 1-of-13 three-pointers.

The Dragons led 26-20 at halftime, and outscored JMU 24-14 in the 2nd half.

Sophomore Toia Giggetts had 14 points and eight rebounds, and was the only James Madison player to reach double digits in scoring.

The women's NCAA tournament selection show is Monday at 7pm.
