Greenbrier Elementary Wins Award for Family Engagement - NBC29 WVIR Charlottesville, VA News, Sports and Weather

A Charlottesville elementary school is being honored. Greenbrier Elementary School has won the grand prize for family engagement.

It was all part of the mid-Atlantic Family Engagement Contest by Successful Innovations, Inc.

The $2,500 award recognizes the school for making parents an active part of their kids' education.

According to Charlottesville City Schools, Greenbrier won the prize by "demonstrating creative and effective outreach in the following areas of parent involvement: communicating, volunteering, learning, collaborating with the community and decision making."
