The James Madison women's basketball team beat Towson 59-48 Friday in the opening round of the CAA Tournament in Upper Marlboro, MD.
JMU jumped out to a 9-0 lead, and never trailed.
The Dukes were up by as many as 18 points in the second half, and have advanced to the CAA semifinals for the 9th year in a row.
Freshman Precious Hall scored a team-high 16 points, while also grabbing seven rebounds.
Tarik Hislop had 13 points, while Kirby Burkholder added 10.
The 2-seed JMU will take on the winner of 3-seed Drexel Saturday at 4:30 pm, after the Dragons beat 6-seed William & Mary 65-31 Friday night.
