On Friday, a group of students got a unique glimpse at what it's like to be a circus performer. One of Cirque du Soleil's own performers gave students at the Wilson School of Dance a special lesson.
The jump rope acrobat taught the kids tricks like double dutch and some acrobatics.
The performer says she hopes to motivate kids to achieve their goals.
"I think it's a very nice way to inspire the young generation that it's possible to live your dreams and to follow the things in life that you like because it's very important for us," said Adrienn Bannaggy, Cirque du Soleil performer.
Cirque du Soleil will be in town from April 3 through April 7 at the John Paul Jones Arena.
