Cville Crews to Pick Up Remaining Tree Debris from Snowstorm
It's time to clean up the mess left behind by last week's big snowstorm.
On Monday, the city of Charlottesville is sending crews to pick up tree debris. All you have to do is leave it on the curb in front of your house by 7 a.m. Monday morning.
It may take crews until Tuesday or Wednesday to reach your neighborhood - but the city asks to have the clutter of branches and limbs on the curb Monday, because crews will only do each street once.
"It's both for our residents who don't want that lying around their yards but also just for the general appearance and comfort of our citizens we want to make sure that people can get it out of their homes and out of their neighborhoods and collected," said Miriam Dickler, director of communications for the city of Charlottesville.
The city will only pick up tree debris that is three to 10 feet long.
No bags of leaves or trash will be picked up.
