The Virginia softball team swept a doubleheader from Longwood Thursday, beating the Lancers 5-3 in Game One and 8-7 in nine innings in Game Two.
UVA scored five runs in the bottom of the 6th inning for the come-from-behind win in the first game.
Senior Melanie Mitchell struck out eleven and pitched her 102nd career complete game for the win.
Mitchell also earned the victory in the second game with eight strikeouts and six innings of relief.
Freshman Kristen Harris hit a two RBI double for the game-winning runs.
Virginia (11-12) will wrap up its eight-game homestand when they face George Washington Wednesday at six o'clock.
