#12 UVA Baseball Beats Liberty 7-2

The #12 Virginia baseball team scored four times in the first inning en route to a 7-2 win against Liberty at Davenport Field Wednesday.

The victory caps off a 14 game homestand for UVA.

The Cavaliers went 13-1 during the run.

Freshman starter Trey Oest pitched five innings to earn his third win of the season.

Brandon Downes and Nate Irving each drove in two runs, while Joe McCarthy went 2-for-3 with two runs scored.

Virginia will go on the road for the first time in a month Friday, as the Cavaliers play a three-game series at Clemson.
