HPD Arrests Suspects in Strong Armed Robbery

0n 3/11/13 at approximately 0014 hours officers from the Harrisonburg Police Department responded to a report of armed robbery in the parking lot of Harrisonburg Crossing. Upon their arrival, the officers spoke to the alleged victim and several witnesses, who stated that a group of five individuals had confronted a member of their group in the parking lot. The confrontation escalated and a knife and blunt object were displayed during the incident. No injuries were reported, but the victim reported the offenders robbed him of a necklace during the incident.
The offenders then fled the scene and were later apprehended on a traffic stop that was Conducted by officers from the Broadway and Timberville Police Departments. As a result of this response and subsequent investigation, Jamal Spinner, 19, of Timberville, and Blake Goodloe, 21, also of Timberville, were Charged with one count each of robbery (18.2-58), a felony Charge. Additional charges against these and other offenders are pending.
